‘America delenda est’: A step in the right direction

Thomas Dalton’s article (‘America Must Die—So That the People Can Live’) published last week in The Occidental Observer potentially could be a stepping stone in the right direction to help white nationalists cross the psychological Rubicon into National Socialism:

Hence, early America prospered and flourished in spite of, not because of, Christianity; in spite of, not because of, Blacks and Jews; and in spite of, not because of, the principle of equality. Blacks, Jews, “equality,” and Christianity were millstones around the young nation’s neck.

Wow! We seldom read anything similar on Kevin MacDonald’s webzine. Dalton continues:

Therefore, it is time to accept reality and give up America for lost. Put away your flags, your pins, and all your red-white-and-blue paraphernalia. Toss out your MAGA hats; America will never be “great again.” Anyone who tells you otherwise is a liar or a fool. The country is rotting from above and below. Vermin are calling the shots from on high, and human detritus washes in over the borders. This was precisely how Ancient Rome fell. Such is the terminal stage of many an empire.

Indeed. But in the case of that melting pot called Imperial Rome, the nordish invaders were the good guys.

More specifically, my above analysis suggests the following steps: (a) Break up the existing United States into smaller, more cohesive, more homogenous, and more manageable units. (b) In these new units, encourage all non-Whites, and especially all Jews, to emigrate as soon as possible. (c) Discard the pernicious concept of human equality and replace it by a celebration of the higher, the nobler, and the best. (d) Replace industrial democracy with something like an aristocracy.

(c) and (d) sound like what we have been calling the transvaluation of values on this site.

Only full-blown secession can hope to get to the root of the problem… Native Americans were of course here before the White Europeans, and that precedence needs to be respected, such as via truly autonomous homelands. And since Blacks were forcibly brought here from Africa (with heavy Jewish involvement), I would have no issue with assisting their return to Africa with subsidized travel arrangements, a small one-time cash payment, or with the use of political leverage in Africa to aid their repatriation. We can ease the transition, but out they must go.

Amerind presence needs to be respected? In the comments section a commenter replied: ‘The idea that roughly 45 million blacks will return to Africa for a small cash payment is laughable and in my humble opinion that is the crux of America’s issues’.

True, and that’s because the measures proposed by Dalton are still confined to Christian ethics, not to an ethic that is genuinely transvalued (cf. my latest comment about The Turner Diaries).

A step in the right direction doesn’t mean that Dalton or those who read his piece have finished crossing the axiological river. It’s only a stepping stone. Compare the above quote with the methods used by The Organization in Pierce’s great novel.

America is dying a slow and painful death. Let us euthanize the long-suffering nation, redraw the boundaries, rethink the guiding principles, and begin again.

Although Dalton is author and editor of several texts with a special focus on German National Socialism, he didn’t dare to think like those who forged the Master Plan East: ethnic cleansing à la Himmler so that the Aryan race could flourish in peace. Fortunately, a couple of commenters said the obvious in the comments section of MacDonald’s webzine.

Last Tuesday, commenter Tito said: ‘Perhaps the very finest essay so far offered on this essential site. Our Aryan species has little time to rescue itself, a project demanding we disavow our irrational prejudice against genocide’. Angelicus responded: ‘Brilliant observation. Unfortunately, most of the so-called nationalists in the USA and Europe are infected with stupid and totally misplaced ideas of honour and decency, mostly thanks to that poisonous creed called Christianity…’

The Tischgespräche, the Führer’s table talks with a few senior party officials, senior SS officers or foreign guests[1], are instructive in this respect. Even more instructive, perhaps, are certain reports that are hostile to Hitlerism, all the more virulent because their authors are angrier at having initially followed Adolf Hitler in the wrong direction, and at having felt themselves to be fools in retrospect—wrongly, no doubt, for it must have been very difficult to grasp the true thinking of the Master before being part of the narrow circle of people who enjoyed his confidence.

Such is, for example, the book by the former President of the Senate of the Free City of Danzig, Hermann Rauschning, Hitler Told Me which had, in its time, some notoriety since in 1939 the thirteenth French edition of it was already published: an excellent book, despite of the aggressiveness that pierces every line. The fact that Rauschning himself seems to be completely unaware of the cyclical conception of history and, in general, of the supra-human truths which are the basis of all ancient wisdom, makes the judgements he believes he is making against the Führer all the more eloquent by accusing him (without knowing it) of waging his struggle precisely in the name of these truths. Finally, nothing can shed light on certain aspects of Hitlerism like Hans Grimm’s book Warum? Woher? aber Wohin?, a work by an impartial non-Hitlerite, or the account given by Auguste Kubizek, a man with no political allegiance whatsoever, of his years of friendship with the future Führer, then aged between fifteen and nineteen, in his book Adolf Hitler, mein Jugendfreund.[2]

The first thing that strikes one on reading these various texts is Adolf Hitler’s awareness of the speed with which everything is falling apart in our time, and of the total reversal of values that the slightest recovery would mean. It is also the very clear feeling he seems to have had that his action represented the last chance of the Aryan race as well as the last (at least theoretical) possibility of recovery, before the end of the present cycle.

This sentiment was coupled with the conviction that he himself was not ‘the last’ fighter against the forces of disintegration; not the One who would usher in the glorious ‘Golden Age’ of the next cycle. Five years before the seizure of power, the Führer said in all simplicity to Hans Grimm: ‘I know that someone must appear, and face our situation. I have been looking for this man. I have not been able to find him anywhere, and that is why I have arisen, to carry out the preparatory task, only the urgent preparatory task, for I know that I am not the One who is to come. And I also know what I lack. But the Other remains absent, and no one is there, and there is no more time to waste’.[3]

There is even reason to believe that he sensed—if not knew; I will come back to this point—the inevitability of disaster and the need for him to sacrifice himself. But just as his vision was centred on the German people but went far beyond Germany, so his defeat was to be a catastrophe on a planetary scale (which it was, indeed) and his sacrifice was to take on an unsuspected significance.

He told Hermann Rauschning: ‘If we fail to win, we will drag half the world down with us, and no one will be able to rejoice in a victory over Germany’ and: ‘He could not otherwise accomplish his mission’, notes this author, without apparently realising the significance of such an assertion.[4]

So what was this ‘mission’, so imperious although He who knew he was in charge of it could, at times, foresee its failure? It was that of all those beings, both human and more than human—in India they are called avatars or descents of the divine Spirit in the visible and tangible world—who, from age to age, have fought against the tide of Time, for the restoration of a material order in the image of the eternal Order: that of the God Krishna, that of the Prophet Mohammed, and, in Germanic legend, truer than history: that of the hero Siegfried, like them both initiate and warrior.

Such a mission always implies the destruction of the decadent world, without which the restoration of a hierarchical society according to eternal values would be unthinkable. It therefore implies the recognition of the reign of evil, of the ‘triumph of injustice’[5] that is, what is contrary to the divine Order, at the time of the combatant—and the exaltation of combat. Undoubtedly, people who militate by violence against an already bad established order, in favour of a ‘new world’ even worse from the viewpoint of natural hierarchies, are also dissatisfied people who aren’t afraid of armed struggle. But, as I have tried to show above, it is the nature of their dream, not the methods employed for its realisation, which places them exactly opposite the fighters against time.

There are reckless, irresponsible fighters—both in the direction of temporal evolution and against it. There are millions of people of ‘goodwill’—liberals, individualists, pacifists, ‘friends of man’ of all stripes—who, mostly through sheer ignorance or laziness of mind, follow the deceptive suggestions of the agents of the Dark Forces, and contribute, with the most generous intentions in the world, to accelerating the pace of universal degeneration.

There are also people perfectly unconscious of the eternal laws of the visible as well as the subtle Universe, who militate enthusiastically for selection in battle, for the segregation of races, and, in general, for an aristocratic conception of the world, by instinct—simply out of horror of the physical and moral ugliness of men, and out of hatred of the prejudices and institutions which encourage its generalisation. Many of us are among them. Nobler than the former, since they are centred on beauty which, in its essence, merges with Truth, they are, despite everything, just as unresponsible in the strong sense of the word, because they are just as attached to the realm of impression, that is to say, to the subjective.

But it is different with leaders… all the more so with the founders of new times.

The real initiator of a subversive movement in the sense I have given above, can only be a man in possession of some degree of undeniable knowledge. But he uses it in reverse: for purposes contrary to the spirit of true hierarchies, therefore contrary to those which a wise man’s action should take. On the other hand, the founder and leader of a faith ‘against Time’—as Adolf Hitler was—can only be one of those men whom I have, in another book,[6] called ‘above Time’: a sage, an initiate in union with the Divine and simultaneously a warrior—and perhaps also a ‘politician’—ready to employ, at the level of the contingencies of the visible world, all the means he knows to be effective, and judging a means only by its effectiveness.

He can only be a man both above Time, as regards his being, and against Time, as regards his action in the world; in other words, a warrior (or a politician, or both) fighting against the order, institutions and powers of his time, with whatever weapons he can muster, with a view to an (at least temporary) ‘recovery’ of society, inspired by a Golden Age ideal: a will to bring the ‘new’ order into accord with the Eternal Order.

Now, I repeat: the texts, the facts, the whole history and atmosphere of National Socialism become fully comprehensible only if, once and for all, one admits that Adolf Hitler was such a man: the most recent manifestation, among us, of the One who returns from age to age ‘for the protection of the righteous, for the destruction of those who do evil, for the firm establishment of the order according to the nature of things’.[7]

What virtues should the apprentice priests have?

Last Friday, in another thread a commenter started an exchange with this comment: ‘I’ve watched it [Fight Club] over 20 times, and I think it’s a great movie to instill a stoic mentality on future white racists’.

This makes me wonder what the commenter means by ‘stoic mentality’. Has he read the section on Rome in the masthead of this site, or in William Pierce’s chapter that I have so highly recommended (both appear in The Fair Race)? It also reminds me that the gulf between me and some young visitors cannot be wider, as well as some words that the Spaniard Manu Rodríguez wrote for this site in 2013:

The circumspection (diligentia), the rigor (severitas), and self-control (continentia, and temperantia) define the solemn character (gravitas) of their actions, acquired by the industriousness (industria) and tenacity (constantia). The offspring are educated in adult models (mos maiorum). Humility (modestia) and worship (reverentia) are the virtues that should govern the relationship of the younger generation with the older.

These were the manly virtues in Republican Rome before degeneracy took over, before the Romans interbred with non-whites during the decadent Roman Empire. This also portrays the spirit of the priest of the 14 words. Those who lack these virtues cannot be priests, or even apprentice priests.

Needless to say, virtually no film this century coming out of (((Hollywood))) inspires the hard Roman ethos we need to save the Aryans from extinction. Or hasn’t the young commenter who said the above even read the masthead?

Info wanted

For those who don’t want to read his long essay in one go, the second instalment (of six instalments) of the English-German translation of ‘Why Europeans Should Reject Christianity’, a seminal essay by Ferdinand Bardamu in The Fair Race (see cover in sidebar) can now be read in the German section of this site.

(Incidentally, there’s another original article by Bardamu published exclusively for this site: ‘Wouldn’t whites be better off If Hitler had won the Second World War?’)

Christliche Bücherverbrennung und literarischer Vandalismus

Die Vernichtung ketzerischer und heidnischer Schriften durch Bücherverbrennung war weit verbreitet und aktiv. Obwohl sie manchmal von heidnischen Magistraten zur Vernichtung subversiver Literatur eingesetzt wurde, nahm die Bücherverbrennung erst während der kaiserlich erzwungenen Christianisierung Roms in Umfang und Häufigkeit erheblich zu. Unter der nizäischen Staatsreligion wurde die Bücherverbrennung zu einer herausragenden Form der ritualisierten Gewalt gegen Ketzerei und Heidentum. Die Literatur, die verbrannt wurde, war hauptsächlich magischer, astrologischer, religiöser, philosophischer oder antichristlicher Art. Menschen wurden die Gliedmaßen amputiert, weil sie ketzerische und andere verbotene Bücher kopiert hatten.

Der Apostelgeschichte zufolge begann das Christentum seine Kampagne der aktiven Literaturvernichtung bereits im 1. Jahrhundert. Eine Gruppe von Konvertiten aus Ephesus sammelte als Reaktion auf den fehlgeschlagenen Exorzismus eines jüdischen Zauberers ihre religiösen und prophetischen Bücher ein und ließ sie verbrennen. Dieser Akt religiöser Gewalt wird zustimmend als Beispiel dafür angeführt, wie sich das Wort Gottes weit verbreitete und Einfluss unter den Menschen gewann. Dies diente als eine der wichtigsten theologischen Rechtfertigungen für die zahlreichen Bücherverbrennungen im christlichen Rom.

Konstantin erließ zu Beginn des 4. Jahrhunderts ein Gesetz, das die Verbrennung ketzerischer und heidnischer, insbesondere magischer und astrologischer Bücher vorschrieb. Dazu gehörten Bücher von Arius, dem Priester, der die Wesensgleichheit Christi mit dem Vater leugnete, und dem neuplatonischen Philosophen Porphyr, der ein Buch schrieb, in dem er die christliche Religion angriff. Die heidnische Bibliothek von Antiochia, die Julians umfangreiche Sammlung griechischer und römischer Klassiker enthielt, wurde 363 vom christlichen Kaiser Jovian niedergebrannt, ein Akt der Vergeltung gegen Julian, weil er das Christentum durch das hellenistische Heidentum ersetzt hatte.

Die kaiserliche Gesetzgebung, die die Verbrennung heidnischer Bücher, insbesondere solcher von Magiern und Astrologen, vorschreibt, findet sich im Codex Theodosianus. Die Verbrennung heidnischer Bücher setzte sich bis ins 6. Jahrhundert fort, wo sie in zeitgenössischen Quellen aus der Regierungszeit Justinians gut belegt ist. Nicht nur die Bücher von Häretikern wie Nestorius und den Manichäern wurden den Flammen übergeben, sondern auch die Bücher des verhassten Porphyr und anderer heidnischer Kritiker des Christentums. Die Gesetze von Theodosius II. und Valentinian, die ihren Inquisitoren befahlen, die Schriften von Porphyr und alle heidnischen Werke, die als antichristlich eingestuft wurden, zu verbrennen, wurden durch den Codex Iustinianus aufrechterhalten. Der Digest räumt dem Inquisitor einen beträchtlichen Ermessensspielraum bei der Entscheidung darüber ein, welche Bücher häretisch, magisch oder antichristlich genug waren, um sie den Flammen zu übergeben.

Unter Justinian kam es zu einer systematischen und reichsweiten Vernichtung heidnischer Literatur durch Bücherverbrennung. Die spektakulärsten Bücherverbrennungen wurden von christlichen Beamten in Konstantinopel und Asien durchgeführt. Amantius, der byzantinische Inquisitor, machte in Antiochia rücksichtslos Jagd auf die Heiden. Er zertrümmerte ihre Idole, verbrannte ihre Bücher und konfiszierte ihr Vermögen, indem er exorbitante Geldstrafen verhängte. Justinian hielt es sogar für notwendig, Heiden von allen Lehrämtern im Reich auszuschließen. Diese Gesetzgebung steht im Zusammenhang mit der Schließung der Neuplatonischen Akademie durch Justinian im Jahr 529, die der weltlichen Bildung in der Philosophie und den Wissenschaften den Todesstoß versetzte.

Wie erfolgreich war der Krieg der Kirche gegen die abendländische Kultur durch die Verbrennung der heidnischen Texte? Der gesamte antike Korpus an magischer, astrologischer und religiöser Literatur wurde so gründlich vernichtet, dass nichts überlebt hat. Wir haben keine der vielen gelehrten Schriften, die Licht in die traditionelle griechisch-römische polytheistische Verehrung hätten bringen können, wie z. B. Varros monumentale Antiquitates rerum humanarum et divinarum.

Christliche Beamte sammelten und verbrannten fleißig alle philosophischen Werke, die aus einer materialistischen Perspektive geschrieben waren, wie die von Epikur und seinen Anhängern. Dass nur noch fragmentarische literarische Überreste von Epikur vorhanden sind, einem umfangreichen Autor, der über 300 Bücher veröffentlichte, ist auf die eifrigen Bemühungen der christlichen Bücherverbrenner zurückzuführen. Die Christen löschten auch erfolgreich alle heidnische Literatur aus, die die nizäische Staatsreligion sowohl aus rationalen als auch aus philosophischen Gründen offen kritisierte. Von den berühmtesten Antichristen sind nur Fragmente ihres produktiven literarischen Schaffens erhalten. Die heidnischen antichristlichen Schriften wurden als so gefährlich angesehen, dass sogar ihre christlichen Widerlegungen zusammen mit ihnen verbrannt werden mussten. Von den antichristlichen Werken, die die Christen am meisten störten, wurde Porphyr wiederholt durch die kaiserliche Gesetzgebung zur Verbrennung ausgewählt, gefolgt von Julians Schmähschrift gegen die „Galiläer“. Wir wissen, dass viele Heiden gegen das Christentum schrieben, aber die Tatsache, dass kaum etwas von dieser Literatur überlebt hat, ist ein klares Indiz dafür, dass das Christentum das, was es nicht durch vernünftige Argumente aus der Welt schaffen konnte, durch rohe Gewalt zum Schweigen brachte.

Die klösterlichen Skriptorien spielten eine wichtige Rolle bei der Ausrottung allen weltlichen Wissens durch die Kirche. Die Mönche recycelten Pergament aus weltlichen Handschriften, indem sie die Tinte mit einer milden Säurelösung abkratzten; das „gewaschene“ Pergament wurde dann für das Kopieren christlicher Handschriften wiederverwendet. Dies wurde später als Palimpsest bezeichnet. Jahrhunderte lang waren Handschriften, die mit patristischen, biblischen und liturgischen Texten überschrieben waren, fast immer heidnischen Ursprungs. Die systematische Zerstörung der klassischen Literatur ließ am Vorabend der karolingischen „Renaissance“ etwas nach, aber die weltlichen Schriften des Altertums wurden immer noch weit häufiger von Christen zerstört als jede andere Literatur. Dass dies der Fall war, wird auch durch eine Untersuchung des Verhältnisses zwischen klassischen und christlichen Manuskripten deutlich. Betrachtet man die erhaltenen Manuskripte, so beträgt das Verhältnis 1:25 oder 4 %. Ein Exemplar der Vulgata aus dem 7. Jahrhundert wird beispielsweise in den Codices Latini Antiquiores (CLA) als Palimpsest aufgeführt, dessen Rollen aus den Handschriften von neun verschiedenen klassischen Autoren, darunter Livius, Cicero und Seneca, zusammengestohlen waren. Angesichts des Verhältnisses von 4 % ist die statistische Wahrscheinlichkeit, dass so viele klassische Autoren aufgrund zufälliger Umstände für ein einziges Manuskript verwendet wurden, so gering, dass sie an das Unmögliche grenzt. Dies wird noch unwahrscheinlicher, wenn man bedenkt, dass die Bibliotheken der Spätantike und des Mittelalters in der Regel mit patristischen, biblischen und liturgischen Schriften bestückt waren. Das Vulgata-Manuskript wäre niemals zusammengetragen worden, wenn die Kirche nicht absichtlich das alte kulturelle Erbe einer ganzen Zivilisation und eines ganzen Volkes zur systematischen Auslöschung vorgesehen hätte.

Der bekannteste – und zerstörerischste – Akt des christlichen Kulturgenozids war die Vernichtung der mathematischen Abhandlungen des Archimedes. An ihrer Stelle wurde ein byzantinisches liturgisches Handbuch gefunden. Dies ist als das berühmte Archimedes-Palimpsest bekannt. Das wichtigste dieser Manuskripte, die Methode der mechanischen Theoreme, zeigt, dass Archimedes ein rudimentäres Verständnis der Integralrechnung hatte; er war der erste, der die Fläche und das Volumen fester geometrischer Figuren mit infinitesimalen Größen berechnete. Das war etwa 2000 Jahre vor Newton und Leibniz, den modernen Entdeckern der Integral- und Differentialrechnung. Hätte das Christentum die wissenschaftliche und technologische Entwicklung in der Antike und im Mittelalter nicht gebremst, wäre die Menschheit heute weitaus fortgeschrittener als sie es ist. Das Christentum war das größte Einzelhindernis für den materiellen Fortschritt in der Geschichte Europas.

Die Christen zerstörten aktiv die Schriften des klassischen Altertums in dem Wahn, einen ehemals unter dämonischem Einfluss stehenden Text zu heiligen und ihn für Gott zurückzufordern. Sie glaubten, dass alles, was in der Vergangenheit geschehen war, ein Fehler war. Die Auslöschung der antiken Zivilisation würde die Europäer auf eine prähistorische Existenz reduzieren, aber sie würde sie von allen weltlichen Bindungen befreien. Sie würde es den Europäern ermöglichen, sich ausschließlich auf das Erlösungswerk Gottes in Christus, dem gekreuzigten Juden, zu konzentrieren, dessen Triumph über die Vernunft das dunkle Mittelalter einleitete.

 
Zensur und der christliche Krieg gegen die westliche Kultur

Die kirchliche Entscheidung, die klassische Literatur zu zensieren und zu unterdrücken, wurde von militanten christlichen „Fundamentalisten“ beeinflusst, bigotten Anti-Intellektuellen wie Ambrosius und Johannes Chrysostomus. Diese Männer konnten aufgrund ihrer herausragenden Stellung in kirchlichen Angelegenheiten und ihrer Bedeutung für den patristischen Kanon aggressiv auf eine Agenda drängen, die die Auslöschung aller heidnischen künstlerischen, kulturellen und wissenschaftlichen Errungenschaften forderte. Der patristische Angriff auf die geistigen Grundlagen der antiken Welt wurde von der mittelalterlichen Kirche fortgesetzt. Isidor von Sevilla, der einflussreichste und meistgelesene Autor des finsteren Mittelalters, warnte seine Schäfchen wiederholt vor den geistigen Gefahren, die die Lektüre weltlicher Philosophie und Wissenschaft mit sich bringt. Das kanonische Recht der Kirche hatte den Christen lange Zeit die Lektüre weltlicher Literatur untersagt, mit Ausnahme des Klerus, der diese Schriften zur Bekämpfung von Ketzerei und Heidentum zu Rate zog.

Mit der Christianisierung Roms im 4. Jahrhundert wurde die Kirche zur alleinigen Erbin der großen Vorräte an antiker Weisheit, die sich im Laufe der Jahrhunderte angesammelt hatten. Da die Zahl und der Einfluss der Heiden zurückgingen, übernahmen die klösterlichen Skriptorien vor allem nach 400 die Vorherrschaft bei der Überlieferung von Texten. Geleitet von der kirchlichen Zensur und dem kanonischen Recht, stellten die Skriptorien mit wenigen Ausnahmen das Kopieren weltlicher Schriften für mehr als 300 Jahre ein und trennten das mittelalterliche Europa von den großen wissenschaftlichen und technischen Errungenschaften der antiken Vergangenheit. Während des dunklen Zeitalters wurde fast die gesamte griechisch-römische Literatur aus dem Verkehr gezogen und durch patristische, biblische und liturgische Schriften ersetzt. Wissenschaftliche und philosophische Werke, von denen einige ihrer Zeit weit voraus waren, wurden von den kirchlichen Beamten als Abfall entsorgt. Manchmal wurden sie für profane Zwecke wiederverwendet; Reliquien wurden einst in die Seiten der Historien des Livius eingewickelt gefunden. Der italienische Renaissance-Gelehrte Pietro Bembo schätzte, dass weniger als 1 % der gesamten griechischen Literatur die Wirren und das Chaos des dunklen Mittelalters überlebte. Moderne Gelehrte haben ähnliche Schätzungen für das Überleben der lateinischen Literatur vorgenommen.

Christliche Religiöse behaupten, die Invasion der Barbaren sei ein wichtiger Faktor für den Verlust des wissenschaftlichen und technischen Wissens des Abendlandes; sie vergessen dabei zu erwähnen, dass die Barbaren, die die westliche Hälfte des Reiches terrorisierten, ebenfalls Christen waren. Jedenfalls spielte die Invasion der Barbaren bei der Zerstörung des literarischen Erbes des Abendlandes praktisch keine Rolle; der größte Teil der griechischen und lateinischen Literatur war noch um 500 n. Chr. vorhanden, als sich das Zeitalter der germanischen Einwanderung dem Ende zuneigte. Obwohl es keine Beweise dafür gibt, dass Barbaren Bücher oder Bibliotheken verbrannten, gibt es eine Fülle von Beweisen, die Christen in die aktive Zerstörung und Zensur des weltlichen Wissens einer ganzen Zivilisation verwickeln. Nach der Zerstörung der Bibliothek von Alexandria durch die Christen war die Verbrennung von mehr als 120.000 Manuskripten durch die Kreuzfahrer bei der Plünderung Konstantinopels im Jahr 1204 der zweitgrößte Akt des christlichen Literaturvandalismus.

Apologeten des Christentums betonen die Rolle wirtschaftlicher und materieller Faktoren beim Verschwinden der abendländischen Kultur während des dunklen Mittelalters. Ihrer Ansicht nach zerfielen die meisten heidnischen Werke einfach, weil sie auf Papyrus geschrieben waren, einem brüchigen Material. Dies ist jedoch ein Mythos; Papyrus ist ein äußerst haltbares Material, das unter den richtigen Bedingungen Jahrhunderte überdauern kann. Sie können nicht erklären, warum die Fragilität von Papyrus bei der Überlieferung klassischer Texte erst nach der Spätantike, als die christliche Kirche auf dem Höhepunkt ihrer Macht und ihres Einflusses in Europa stand, eine Rolle spielte. Andere Religionswissenschaftler vermuten, dass der Übergang von Papyrus zu Pergament in der Spätantike das Kopieren heidnischer Literatur zu einem kostspieligen Unterfangen machte. Dieses Argument ist nicht stichhaltig, da die relativen Kosten von Papyrus und Pergament aus den verfügbaren Quellen nicht ermittelt werden können; die Kosten sind ohnehin irrelevant, da Pergament das Papyrus in Ägypten ersetzte.

Der christliche Religionswissenschaftler deckt unwissentlich eine weitere Form der kirchlichen Zensur und Unterdrückung auf: die Weigerung, heidnische Werke von Papyrus auf Pergament umzuschreiben, was während der groß angelegten Ersetzung von Papyrus durch Pergament im frühen Mittelalter geschah. Dennoch, und das ist peinlich genug für den christlichen Religiösen, kann er nicht erklären, warum die christlichen Schriften, ob patristisch, liturgisch oder biblisch, die heidnischen Schriften in einem erstaunlichen Verhältnis von 25 zu 1 übertreffen. Nur die weit verbreitete christliche Zensur und die Unterdrückung der heidnischen Wissenschaft und Philosophie können diese eklatanten statistischen Diskrepanzen angemessen erklären.

Apologeten behaupten, die islamische Eroberung Ägyptens im Jahr 642 habe die Papyruslieferungen über das Mittelmeer unterbrochen, was zum Verlust eines Großteils der antiken Literatur geführt habe. Aus den historischen Aufzeichnungen geht jedoch hervor, dass die barbarischen Herrscher des Abendlandes sowie der byzantinische Kaiser stets Zugang zu einer ständigen Versorgung mit ägyptischem Papyrus hatten. Obwohl Ägypten unter mohammedanische Herrschaft geriet, blieb die Papyrusherstellung ein christliches Unternehmen, das nun von den Mohammedanern nach Europa exportiert wurde. Die Ironie ist, dass die griechische und römische Literatur, die sich in byzantinischem Besitz befand, trotzdem allmählich aus dem Verkehr gezogen wurde und aus den Regalen der Bibliotheken verschwand, obwohl die byzantinischen Herrscher immer Zugang zu einem reichhaltigen Angebot an Papyrus hatten.

Im lateinischsprachigen Westen hängt der Rückgang von Papyrus als Schreibmaterial mit der weitgehenden Abkehr von den römischen Regierungsformen zusammen. Der Codex Iustinianus beispielsweise enthält Rechtsvorschriften, die die Verwendung von Papyrus für Regierungsdokumente vorschreiben. In Übereinstimmung mit den römischen bürokratischen Normen verwendete die merowingische Kanzlei bis zum Ende des 7. Jahrhunderts. Diese Praxis verschwand unter den Karolingern, einer aus dem germanischen Osten stammenden Dynastie. Im Gegensatz zum romanisierten Westen, der eher städtisch geprägt war und zentral verwaltet wurde, war der germanische Osten dezentralisiert und ländlich geprägt. Aus diesen Gründen verdrängte das Pergament in Europa allmählich den Papyrus.

Nach christlich-religiöser Auffassung spielten die irischen Klöster eine entscheidende Rolle bei der „Bewahrung„ des westlichen wissenschaftlichen und technischen Wissens, aber das ist eine lächerliche Behauptung. Welche Bewahrungsarbeit wurde geleistet, wenn über 99 % aller weltlichen Schriften von der christlichen Kirche entweder vernichtet oder unterdrückt wurden? Es gab keine Bewahrung. Was überlebt hat, geschah trotz des Christentums, nicht wegen ihm. Die Tatsache, dass fast nichts von dieser Literatur überlebt hat, zeigt, dass die christliche Kirche eine bemerkenswert erfolgreiche Zensur- und Unterdrückungskampagne durchgeführt hat, die erfolgreichste in der gesamten Geschichte. Dies wird auch durch statistische Daten über die Buchproduktion von 400 bis 800 n. Chr. bestätigt. Im fünften Jahrhundert waren 27 % der erhaltenen kopierten Handschriften heidnischer Natur, während der Rest überwiegend patristische, biblische oder liturgische Werke waren. Im sechsten Jahrhundert sank dieser Anteil auf 7 %, im siebten Jahrhundert auf 2 % und im achten Jahrhundert auf 1 %, bei einer Gesamtzahl von 834 erhaltenen lateinischen Handschriften. Über einen Zeitraum von 400 Jahren wurden die klassischen Werke nach und nach aus dem Verkehr gezogen. Dies ist ein Muster, das auf eine weit verbreitete und systematische literarische Zensur und Unterdrückung hinweist. Wäre der steile Rückgang der Zahl der kopierten klassischen Texte ungebrochen geblieben, wäre das gesamte heidnische wissenschaftliche, technische und philosophische Wissen aus dem Gedächtnis verschwunden. Im Gegensatz zu den bigotten Behauptungen der christlichen Religionisten sehen wir keine „Bewahrung“. Eine sorgfältige Prüfung der historischen Aufzeichnungen zeigt, dass die christliche Kirche die alleinige Verantwortung für die Zerstörung und Unterdrückung von über 99 % der griechischen und lateinischen Literatur trägt. Die Auslöschung der gesammelten Weisheit der Jahrhunderte durch das Christentum ist eines der größten Verbrechen, das je gegen das Abendland begangen wurde. Kein Akt der Zensur war in der Weltgeschichte zerstörerischer als der von der christlichen Kirche verübte. Ohne das lebensspendende Wissen der antiken Welt wurde die Aufrechterhaltung einer fortgeschrittenen vorindustriellen Zivilisation praktisch unmöglich. Die christliche Zensur und die Unterdrückung des weltlichen Wissens ist der Hauptgrund für den Abstieg Europas in das dunkle Mittelalter nach dem Zusammenbruch der kaiserlichen Herrschaft im Westen.

Apologeten verurteilen törichterweise jede Kritik an der Kirche wegen der Unterdrückung des technischen und wissenschaftlichen Wissens der Antike als anachronistisch. Tatsache ist, dass Fortschritt, Neugier und Vernunft zum wichtigsten Erbe der Europäer aus der klassischen Welt gehören. Die moderne westliche Zivilisation würde ohne diese Werte aufhören zu existieren. Die Entscheidung der Skriptorien, Werke der Wissenschaft, der Mathematik, der Technik und der Philosophie zu verwerfen, war eine vollständige Ablehnung des Fortschritts, der intellektuellen Neugierde und der Vernunft. Es war die Ablehnung der Zivilisation zugunsten einer prähistorischen Existenz als christliches Ideal. Als unmittelbare Folge der Christianisierung hörte die Scriptoria jahrhundertelang fast gänzlich auf, die Schriften der Antike zu kopieren; zum ersten Mal in der Geschichte lief Europa Gefahr, seinen antiken Fundus an wissenschaftlichem, technischem und philosophischem Wissen zu verlieren, der für die Renaissance und die wissenschaftliche Revolution so entscheidend sein sollte.

Die Christen erklärten den weltlichen Grundlagen des römischen Staates den totalen Krieg. Damit griffen sie unweigerlich die Tradition der großen Kunst und Architektur Roms an, ebenso wie die riesigen Bestände an wissenschaftlichem und technischem Wissen, die im Laufe der Jahrhunderte angehäuft worden waren. Christen, die die vollständige Ausrottung des Heidentums anstrebten, hatten nichts Brauchbares, womit sie die säkulare Kultur der spätantiken Welt ersetzen konnten. Viele Christen, die sich der Minderwertigkeit ihrer eigenen religiösen Traditionen im Vergleich zu den majestätischen wissenschaftlichen und philosophischen Errungenschaften der westlichen Kultur bewusst waren, griffen die weltliche Bildung aus Neid und Bosheit an. Diese intellektuelle Verarmung der christlichen Religion führte zu einer erheblichen Verengung des westlichen geistigen Horizonts. Die Verankerung und Konsolidierung des nizäischen Staatskultes machte eine klassische Bildung für weltlichen Erfolg überflüssig. Viele strebten stattdessen eine religiöse Berufung an, eine Option, die plötzlich attraktiv wurde, als die christliche Kirche an Macht und Einfluss gewann. Im 4. Jahrhundert wurde das öffentliche Bildungssystem von eifrigen Christen, die vom Heidentum des klassischen akademischen Lehrplans angewidert waren, zerschlagen. Die christlichen Kaiser förderten im Gegensatz zu ihren heidnischen Vorgängern nicht die weltliche Philosophie und Wissenschaft; der für die Verteilung der staatlichen Mittel zuständige Verwaltungsapparat, der nun von einer kirchlichen Bürokratie beherrscht wurde, verweigerte sie Lehrern, die sich auf die Klassiker spezialisiert hatten. Dies verärgerte viele der letzten verbliebenen Heiden der Spätantike, die sich bitterlich über die Rolle des Christentums bei der Verbreitung eines allgemeinen Desinteresses an einer weltlichen Bildung beklagten.

Ein Mann mit klassischer Bildung war nicht mehr so hoch angesehen wie vor der Zeit Konstantins. Die Führer der mächtigsten Institution des Reiches, der Kirche, taten ihre Bildung verächtlich als bloße „weltliche Weisheit“ ab. In den Augen der Kirche war das Vertrauen auf die Vernunft allein ein Zeichen dämonischer Besessenheit, ein Weg voller Fallstricke für verlorene Seelen auf dem Weg zur ewigen Verdammnis in den Feuern der Hölle. Dies machte den Gebildeten herablassend und arrogant, und er war zu anspruchsvoll für die einfache Botschaft der Evangelien, die er als eine Sammlung kindischer Fabeln verspottete. Ein gebildeter Mensch würde auch die christliche Lehre in Frage stellen und sogar Ketzerei betreiben, was ihn aus kirchlicher Sicht besonders gefährlich machte. Die Existenz des klassischen Lehrplans stellte ein bedeutendes Hindernis für die kaiserliche Politik der Christianisierung dar. Indem sie das Streben nach einer weltlichen Bildung abwertete und marginalisierte, konnte die Kirche diese Bedrohung allmählich beseitigen und ein fügsameres Publikum hervorbringen, wie die Schafe in den Gleichnissen Jesu. Von nun an hatten Christen wie Martin von Tours Wichtigeres zu tun, als lesen und schreiben zu lernen.

Der endgültige Triumph der Orthodoxie über die Vernunft ist im kanonischen Recht der Kirche verankert, das Klerikern und Laien die Lektüre der weltlichen Literatur der Antike verbot. Dieses kanonische Verbot wurde bekanntlich von Papst Gregor I. durchgesetzt, der seine Bischöfe streng dafür tadelte, dass sie Studenten in der klassischen Literatur unterrichteten. „Ein Mund kann nicht gleichzeitig Christus und Jupiter preisen“, donnerte Gregor vom päpstlichen Stuhl in Rom aus. Die Kirche kontrollierte alle mittelalterlichen Skriptorien in Europa. Ratschläge der Kirchenleitung an die Mönche, alles weltliche Wissen als „Torheit in den Augen Gottes“ zu verachten, übten einen schädlichen Einfluss auf die schriftliche Überlieferung der klassischen Literatur aus und verstärkten lediglich die Weigerung des Klerus, Werke heidnischen Ursprungs zu kopieren. Was folgte, war der unvermeidliche Verlust des Wissens, das für das Funktionieren einer fortgeschrittenen vorindustriellen Gesellschaft erforderlich war. Dies verschlimmerte und verlängerte das finstere Mittelalter und führte die Europäer auf ein neolithisches Leben zurück. Gregors Hass auf die säkulare Vergangenheit Roms war so groß, dass er persönlich alle Exemplare der Geschichte des Titus Livius gejagt und verbrannt haben soll, die er in die Finger bekam. Die Bibliothek des Apollo Palatinus, die von Augustus in Rom gegründet worden war, wurde auf seinen Befehl hin niedergebrannt. Damit sollten die Gläubigen vor dem „Gift“ der weltlichen griechischen und lateinischen Literatur geschützt werden.

Isidor von Sevilla war 200 Jahre lang der einzige wirkliche „Intellektuelle“ in der westeuropäischen Geschichte. Seine Etymologien, das beliebteste und am weitesten verbreitete Lehrbuch des Mittelalters, wurde zur Unterstützung des christlichen „Fundamentalismus“ geschrieben. Obwohl Isidor an thematischem Umfang unübertroffen ist, sind seine intellektuelle Tiefe und sein Wissensspektrum den römischen Enzyklopädisten, die ihm vorausgingen, deutlich unterlegen. Isidor lebte in einem geozentrischen Universum, das von einer rotierenden, mit Sternen übersäten Kugel umgeben war, nicht unähnlich der Kosmologie der alten Hebräer. Zwischen der flachen Erde und der äußeren Kugel befinden sich sieben konzentrische innere Sphären. Das Konzept des unendlichen Raums war Isidor völlig fremd; das Universum ist ein kleiner Ort mit eindeutigen Grenzen. Die Tatsache, dass alles Wissen in einem einzigen Band zusammengefasst werden konnte, zeigt, wie drastisch sich der geistige Horizont unter christlichem Einfluss verengt hatte. Isidor betrachtete alle heidnischen Wissenschaften und Philosophien als Ketzerei, als ein Gräuel für rechtgläubige Christen. Die Kirche, die sich auf die Etymologien stützte, zensierte und unterdrückte die darin zitierte heidnische Literatur. Außerdem verunglimpfte Isidor die intellektuelle Neugier als „gefährlich„ und „schädlich“. Isidors weithin einflussreiche Mönchsregel warnte die Mönche vor den Gefahren der Lektüre heidnischer Literatur; die Regel besagte, dass Mönche idealerweise völlig frei von allem weltlichen Wissen sein sollten. Isidors Verurteilung des weltlichen Wissens bestärkte die vorherrschende „fundamentalistische“ Orthodoxie der Kirche, die die Zensur und Unterdrückung aller heidnischen Wissenschaften und Philosophien forderte.
 

Mehr christliche Ausreden

Christliche Religiöse führen Aquinas und Bacon als Ausnahmen von der wissenschaftsfeindlichen Weltanschauung der Kirche an, aber diese Männer schrieben als Antwort auf Aristoteles, der gerade im 12. Jahrhundert. Schon in der Antike galt Aristoteles als veraltet. Weder Aquin noch Bacon waren Wissenschaftler, keiner von ihnen führte wirkliche wissenschaftliche Experimente durch, und keiner von ihnen brachte die Wissenschaft in irgendeiner Weise konkret voran. Ihre Leistung bestand darin, die semitischen Lehren des Christentums mit den überlegenen heidnischen Methoden des Aristoteles in Einklang zu bringen, aber die Ergebnisse waren höchst unbefriedigend. Der Aquinate war auch der Vater der mittelalterlichen Scholastik, die sich als äußerst nachteilig für den Aufstieg der modernen Wissenschaft in Europa erwies. Die scholastische Methodik wurde schließlich von Renaissance-Schriftstellern wie François Rabelais wegen ihrer Absurdität verspottet. Aufgrund der christlichen Betonung von Schrift und Tradition als letzter Autoritätsquelle lehnte die Kirche die heidnischen epistemischen Werte der öffentlichen Überprüfbarkeit von Beweisen und der empirischen Rationalität ab. Für die kirchliche Hierarchie war die Suche nach Wissen im Einklang mit solchen Prinzipien sowohl arrogant als auch gefährlich ketzerisch. Selbst nach der Wiedereinführung der heidnischen Wissenschaft und Philosophie im 12. Jahrhundert gab es immer noch erheblichen kirchlichen Widerstand gegen die alleinige Vernunft als Wegweiser zur Wahrheit.

Die christliche Kirche verfolgte diejenigen, die die christliche religiöse Orthodoxie in Frage stellten, ungestraft. Dies förderte ein Umfeld, in dem das Streben nach wissenschaftlichem und technischem Fortschritt praktisch unmöglich wurde. So sorgte beispielsweise die posthume Verurteilung des alexandrinischen Philosophen Johannes Philoponus aus dem 6. Jahrhundert als Ketzer dafür, dass seine prinzipielle Ablehnung der neuplatonischen und aristotelischen Philosophie noch jahrhundertelang unbekannt bleiben würde. Diese organisierte kirchliche Verfolgung von Freidenkern schloss jede Möglichkeit des materiellen Fortschritts bis zur wissenschaftlichen Revolution aus.

Trotz dieser Tatsachen haben die christlichen Religiösen versucht, die Geschichte zu verfälschen, indem sie das Gegenteil behaupteten. Sie glauben, dass das Christentum eine notwendige Zutat war, der „Funke“, der die wissenschaftliche Revolution des 17. Jahrhunderts auslöste. Dabei wird die Tatsache ignoriert, dass Wissenschaft und Religion, in diesem Fall das Christentum, von Grund auf unvereinbar sind. Im Christentum geht es um blinden Glauben, wobei Offenbarung und Autorität als einzig gültige Kriterien für die Beurteilung der Wahrheit dienen. Im Gegensatz dazu geht es in der Wissenschaft um die Anhäufung von Wissen durch logisches Denken, empirische Beobachtung und Messung. Das Christentum ist eine Form des magischen Denkens; es ist nicht überprüfbar. Die Wissenschaft hingegen ist ständig auf der Suche nach neuen Ideen mit immer größerer Erklärungskraft. Obwohl zwischen 400 v. Chr. und 300 n. Chr. ein wissenschaftlicher und technologischer Fortschritt stattfand, der zur Entwicklung von Ideen führte, die bis zur wissenschaftlichen Revolution nicht mehr übertroffen werden sollten, gab es von 300 n. Chr. bis zum 12. Jahrhundert, dem Höhepunkt christlicher Macht und christlichen Einflusses in Europa, praktisch keinen Fortschritt.

Selbst das christliche Byzanz, das erfolgreicher war als die nachrömischen Nachfolgestaaten des lateinischen Westens, hat keine nennenswerten Fortschritte in Wissenschaft und Technik gemacht. Unter christlichem Einfluss fiel Europa auf eine neolithische Lebensstufe zurück. Dies wird durch neuere archäologische Funde, die zahlreiche mittelalterliche Vereinfachungen der früheren römischen materiellen Kultur zeigen, gut belegt. Im Handel, in der Industrie und in der Landwirtschaft kam es zu einem erheblichen Rückgang des technischen Fortschritts, der wirtschaftlichen Produktivität und der Produktion. Auch die Bevölkerungszahl nahm aufgrund des allgemeinen Rückgangs von Wohlstand und Komfort ab.
 

Das Christentum: Bringer von Dreck und Krankheit

Die kirchliche Zensur und die Unterdrückung westlicher wissenschaftlicher und technischer Erkenntnisse begünstigten die Verbreitung und Übertragung von Krankheiten in ganz Europa. Dies ging Hand in Hand mit der christlichen Verunglimpfung des menschlichen Körpers als Träger der Sünde. Anstatt nach den natürlichen Ursachen von Krankheiten zu suchen, wie es einst die hippokratischen Schriftsteller taten, entmutigte die offizielle Lehre der Kirche die Ausübung der Medizin, indem sie alle körperlichen Leiden auf die Folgen von Sünde und teuflischer Besessenheit zurückführte. Dies bremste den Fortschritt in der Heilkunst und lieferte Europa für Hunderte von Jahren der Krankheit aus.

Der negative Einfluss des Christentums in Europa zeigt sich in den geschätzten Sterblichkeitsraten des Schwarzen Todes im 14. Jahrhundert, einer der verheerendsten Pandemien in der Geschichte der Menschheit. Sie war in Regionen und unter Bevölkerungen, in denen das Christentum die vorherrschende Religion war, stets deutlich höher. Obwohl die Pest beispielsweise die Bevölkerung der mohammedanischen Welt um ein Drittel reduzierte, war dies immer noch weniger als die geschätzten zwei Drittel in Europa. Diese makroregionalen Unterschiede in der Sterblichkeit spiegeln sich auch in viel kleineren geografischen Maßstäben wider. So verlor England unter den Plantagenets die Hälfte seiner Bevölkerung durch die Pest, während das mamlukische Ägypten nur ein Drittel verlor.

In der Bevölkerung hatten die Juden eine niedrigere Sterblichkeitsrate als die Christen. Ihre scheinbare Immunität gegen die Krankheit erregte den Verdacht ihrer europäischen Zeitgenossen, die sie in eine geheime Verschwörung zur Tötung der Christen verwickelten. In der Folge wurden sie brutal verfolgt.

Warum sind die Sterblichkeitsraten zwischen Mohammedanern, Juden und Christen so unterschiedlich? Das Judentum und der Islam haben lange Zeit die Körperpflege als integralen Bestandteil der täglichen rituellen Praxis gepflegt, während das Christentum aufgrund seiner Feindseligkeit gegenüber dem Körper die Körperpflege als weltlich und materialistisch ablehnte. Die Kirche in Spanien zum Beispiel forderte die Gläubigen regelmäßig auf, das Baden zu vermeiden, um sich besser von den verhassten Mauren und Juden abzugrenzen. Die Unterschiede in der körperlichen Sauberkeit zwischen ganzen geografischen Regionen und ganzen Bevölkerungen milderten oder verschlimmerten die Auswirkungen der Beulenpest.

Mit dem Siegeszug des Christentums in der Spätantike wurde die menschliche körperliche Existenz in den Augen der Europäer abgewertet. Die menschliche Sexualität wurde als notwendiges Übel betrachtet, das es zu vermeiden galt, außer für die Fortpflanzung in der Ehe. Die Kirche riet den Christen auch vom Baden ab, da die Sorge um den Körper als Hindernis für das Seelenheil angesehen wurde. Obwohl sie dem sehr nahe kam, hat die Kirche die Körperpflege nicht offiziell verboten. Stattdessen ließen die Christen, die Europa beherrschten, zu, dass das große Netz öffentlicher Bäder, das einst das ganze Reich durchzog, einschließlich der Aquädukte, die sie mit Wasser versorgten, in einen Zustand des permanenten Verfalls geriet.

Der heilige Hieronymus sagte einmal: „Wer in Christus gebadet hat, braucht kein zweites Bad.“ Diese Aufforderung wurde von den christlichen Asketen ernst genommen. The following interview, done in June 2015, is with author Thomas Goodrich. While Goodrich has written over a dozen books, his book Hellstorm has proven to be the most popular and life-changing.

Life-changing, not only for him as an author, but for anyone reading this painful and shocking book. You won’t soon forget it, and nothing you will ever read will compare to the evil and horrors contained in this book.

After reading what America and its allies—the ‘good guys’, did to the Germans during and after the end of WW2 you will surely realise the scale in which we have been lied to. As you will read in the interview, this book’s purely historical information is so feared by those in power that it got the author black-listed for writing it.

Hellstorm is a brutally honest book. It lies about, censors, or hides nothing. It is a picture of hell on earth. Of monsters hiding in human skin and their agonised victims.

When you realise the truth about what the Allies did to Germany you will certainly question everything you’ve been taught. We personally have an immense amount of respect for Thomas Goodrich for choosing truth over personal career and monetary gain. Such people are, regretfully, very rare in today’s twisted, money-worshipping world.

As Thomas says in the interview, the information was already out there. Out there, waiting for the day when people would finally be ready, or even give a shit about, the terrible truth of WW2.

It just took someone as selfless and courageous as Thomas Goodrich to bring it to the world.

 

Question: First off, could you please tell us a little about yourself; your background, education etc.?

Tom: Born in Kansas as Michael Thomas Schoenlein, I was adopted at age five. I spent my first years on my grandma’s farm in Missouri, then moved to Kansas. My biological dad was a professional musician, alcoholic and drug addict. About the age of 8-11, I was raped and sodomised on a daily basis. Other than that, I led a fairly normal childhood. After the military, I graduated from Washburn University in Kansas with a degree in history.

Question: What got you interested in the history of WW2?

Tom: TV was filled with war movies in the 1950’s and 60’s. Never really knowing why, I always sided with the Germans. Maybe it had to do with such a small nation, relatively speaking, taking on the world and almost succeeding. Or maybe it had to do with so much hate directed at Germany; that seemed suspicious, even to a kid. I remember a coach-parading-as-a-teacher once upbraiding the entire high school I attended because some bored and anonymous student had carved a swastika into a desk top. Judging by the deathly seriousness on the coach’s and other teachers’ faces as they tried to root out this closet ‘Nazi’ and this deadly challenge to American freedom and sports watching, one might have thought the devil himself had been set loose in the hallways. To even an undeveloped mind, such serious looks and words and fuss among adults at the very least created curiosity and interest, thereby having the opposite effect of that intended.

Question: Hellstorm is one of the most important books detailing the horrors the innocent German people suffered at the hands of the Allies. This topic, the mass rape, murder and starvation of the soldier and civilian population, is not popular with the mainstream media outlets. Can you tell us about any resistance or backlash you have endured because you have bravely decided to speak out?

Tom: Prior to Hellstorm, I never really had trouble finding publishers. Hellstorm ended that run. The only press that took the manuscript was the University of Kentucky Press and the director who wanted it was fired within one month. Thus, sad as it was, I put the manuscript on a shelf and there it stayed for ten years. When I did eventually find a small press to take the book, no one was willing to review the book or have me back on their radio programs. Prior to Hellstorm I had been on scores of major media outlets publicising books, including Cspan, BookTV, Book Notes, and PBS. Also, I had been a talking head on a score or more of documentaries featured on Discovery, NatGeo, and History channels. All that, of course, was now gone. But honestly, I would trade all of that for the wonderful reception I have had in the Alternative Media. These people have embraced me. The MSM uses someone like toilet paper; you are important to them only as long as you serve their purpose. Except for predictable name-calling and veiled threats from the hired Hasbara haters and other Jews, I have little fear or concern for the enemies of truth.

Question: To most Americans and citizens of Allied countries, the horrors of WW2 are squarely put on the shoulders of National Socialist Germany. We are taught that they were beyond evil and that our ‘heroic democracies’, with the assistance of communist Russia, gallantly liberated Europe from monstrous Germany. Well as lies have a way of seeping out, the truth is coming to light. Do you foresee a future that will have accepted the truth and come to terms with it?

Tom: As humans, it’s hard for us to see change when it takes place over years or decades. But if it were possible to have a time-lapse camera and watch the days, weeks and months pass and how quickly our current darkness is giving way to light, then everyone could clearly see that the truth is spreading over the globe with almost breath-taking speed. Our great techno break-through, the internet, has given us the weapon to free ourselves from slavery. Prior to the info super highway, our Jewish enemy had almost total control over communication; now, their strangle-hold is slipping rapidly away. Fewer and fewer whites get their information on the anti-white MSM; more and more turn to our Alt media. Next up: We need to develop our own WN television system that airs the truth 24/7 and that offers a gamut of thought and entertainment.

Question: Writing a book about a topic as disturbing as Hellstorm must take a toll on one’s psyche. How did it affect you? What was your defence against letting it depress you, if you had one?

Tom: By researching and writing Hellstorm, I realised that the world was a much more terrible place than even my wildest imagination could paint. Easy to say, I am not the same person after writing the book. I heard the screams of those girls butchered by those Jewish commissars at Neustettin; I heard the howls of those burning to death in Hamburg and every other German city; from my own childhood of sexual abuse, I could taste the hot, salty filth as the Germans POW’s in Eisenhower’s death camps drank their own urine to avoid death; I could vomit along with the women who were forced to kiss and make love to the rotting corpses at the Jewish torture pens in Poland. At the same time as I learned to fear much in this world, I also learned to hate from every molecule in my body. I get very little sleep now. What little I do get is interrupted frequently with long bouts of restless thought. Certainly, researching and writing a book like Hellstorm is not good for one’s physical or mental health. But it had its rewards. Now I realise that our Jewish enemy not only wants to kill we whites, but beastly, unimaginable torture is part of our future as well; Germans were just the most available and easy to destroy; now, the plan is set in motion to commit complete and utter genocide against the white race. The more one investigates, the more obvious this murderous plan becomes. I, for one, refuse to ignore this proof that is right in front of my eyes.

Question: What authors have influenced you and your work? Are there any you would recommend?

Tom: William Gayley Simpson, a good and true man, taught me to be true to myself, no matter what. William Pierce, maybe the most honest man who ever lived, in an entertaining, yet forceful way, pointed me in the right direction with an unflinching hand. Many great writers and thinkers—John Kaminski, Lasha Darkmoon, and those on Greg Johnson’s Counter Currents website, have nourished me daily. Fearless young fighters, like Henrik Palmgren of Red Ice, and Kyle Hunt of Renegade Broadcasting, are constant sources of inspiration.

Question: I have noticed that Hellstorm is widely recommended and cited online. How did you publicise it?

Tom: White Nationalism has developed a very effective network of communications. Fortunately, most of the writers, bloggers and radio hosts in the truth movement were eager to have me on to discuss the book. And, to spread the story behind Hellstorm, I was eager to be on. I have probably done over a hundred shows in the past two years, so eventually, all truth-seekers are going to hear of Hellstorm.

Question: When I read about the atrocities committed against the innocent Germans and found the vile quotes by Ilya Ehrenburg, the influential writer whom incited the Red Army soldiers, I was appalled. Quotes from him like ‘The Germans are not human beings… If you have not killed at least one German a day, you have wasted that day…’ etc. Ehrenburg was speaking about all Germans, including civilians. The Germans are still paying reparations to the victors for ‘war crimes’, yet no one even knows about the war crimes committed against the Germans. What individuals would you deem to be the worst perpetrators against the Germans? What shocked me the most was that the Americans were responsible for untold deaths of surrendered German soldiers whom they had put in death camps after the war. Some reports say millions of German soldiers died while in American custody. It’s ironic how we’ve been taught over and over how bad the Russians were in WW2 (the gulags, Russian occupation, etc.), when in fact the Americans were also incredibly evil. Another case in point is that of Rudolf Hess. Britain and America for years claimed the reason he wasn’t released was because of the Russians, but his son and other historians believe it was in fact the British and Americans who refused to release him. There is also incredible evidence that he was murdered.

Tom: Although Jews in the US, in the UK, in the USSR, and elsewhere, orchestrated the monstrous crimes against Germany, it was our fellow whites—Europeans, Americans, Canadians, etc.—who were the willing tools and who implemented these cold-blooded crimes. In some ways, it’s easier to understand the Jewish motives against Germany and Europe than it is the depravities gleefully committed by our own racial kinsmen. At some point in the very near future, there will be a much-needed ‘culling’ of the white herd. No healthy race could commit such vile atrocities against any living thing, much less against their own herd; both during and since World War Two the white race has proven to be the most unhealthy and diseased herd on the planet.

Question: How long did it take you to research and write Hellstorm? Where did you find the source material?

Tom: It took me circa three years to research and write the book. Most of my research material came from extremely rare, but published, or typed, resources, including letters, diaries and manuscripts. The material was there for any historian, academic or otherwise, to read and publish for themselves, if they so choose. But no one, of course, did so. I also did a number of live interviews with survivors.

Question: I noticed you also have a book on the American Indians. Can you tell us a little about that? What has been your favourite topic to write about?

Tom: I am a historical iconoclast. Perhaps springing from that incident I mentioned above back in high school, I have enjoyed dragging down and crushing the idols made of clay that the dim and the dull worship. There is so much propaganda parading as history out there right now—lies, exaggerations and utter nonsense easily proven wrong, that the market is bullish for anyone who wants to join me. Take the American Indian, for example. Judging by Jewish Hollywood and Jewish TV, one might imagine that the American Indian lived the life of some sort of peaceful, pastoral, philosophical early-day Hippie culture, whose entire existence was spent harmonizing with his surroundings and protecting all nature from the encroachment of evil, grasping whites. Additionally, after watching or reading any number of modern accounts of Indians at war, one might imagine that Indians went to war only reluctantly and only because they were forced into it to save their way of life. As I have described in my book, Scalp Dance, the American Indian could be just as destructive of nature and just as ruthless in exploiting it as any white man ever born. Also, the fact is that Indian tribes lived for war; it defined who they were; war was the very reason for their existence, and not just war with the white man, but war with other red men, as well.

Question: Can you tell us about your collaboration with Kyle Hunt (radio host of Solar Storm on Renegade Broadcasting) to create the Hellstorm documentary? It is very popular with over 208,000 hits on Youtube.

Tom: Kyle is young enough to be my son, and yet, there was very little generational conflict, that I am aware of, while working on the film together. Kyle is an incredible young man. Talented, creative, industrious, the single feature that distinguishes Kyle from others his age is his incredible focus. From my experience with him, nothing seems to sidetrack Kyle. His passion is also clearly demonstrated to anyone who watches his film, Hellstorm. Kyle might also be one of the most moral men I know.

Question: Can you compare the horror of Dresden’s destruction by firebombing with any other war crime? Has there been such a vicious attack in our history of the world? Why do you think the horrific firebombing attacks on civilian targets like Hamburg and Dresden have gotten so little coverage in the media and history books, while Hiroshima and Nagasaki are widely publicized? It’s interesting that more Germans died in the firebombing assaults than the atomic bombings.

Tom: Truly, the deliberate and premeditated firebombing of helpless German cities by the Allies stands as one of the most demonic and evil war crimes committed in the history of the world. And Dresden remains the apotheosis of that campaign of terror. Dresden stands as a shameful monument to the evil that was WW2. An undefended city, crowded with refugees, one of the most beautiful cities on earth, targeted by the forces of hate for the simple purpose of killing as many women and children in the most sadistic manner imaginable. Among so-called historians and so-called German leaders, there is today a deliberate attempt to lower the number of Dresden deaths from an estimated 250,000—400,000 dead to a mere 20,000-25,000. The assumption, of course, is that if the number of dead can be reduced, and accepted, then the extent of the enormous crime itself can be reduced. Unfortunately for the history distorters, the International Red Cross, with numerous reps on the scene in 1945, along with Berlin officials and city, state and national rescue workers who were doing the body count, are the sources most credible, not moderns today who have agendas and a vested interest in reducing the horrific death toll. More people died in Dresden in one night than died in the nuclear attacks on Hiroshima and Nagasaki combined.

Question: Your newest book Rape Hate is a very interesting compilation of cases of rape and murder. Not only does it involve a glimpse into the hell that German women went through during WW2 at the hands of the Allies, but also has tales of early American settlers whom were often murdered and raped by the American Indians. While I don’t want to downplay the tremendous crimes against the American Indians by the United States government, people aren’t often told about the shocking crimes against settlers by the Indians. Your thoughts?

Tom: Judging by Hollywood and modern academics, one might imagine that white women were thrilled at being taken prisoner by Indians that they might shake off the shallow and confining conventions of civilised life and begin enjoying their new natural life out-of-doors. Indeed, many portrayals of white captives convey the idea that they were transformed into something akin to Indian princesses. The reality, however, is just the opposite. Gang rape, abuse, over-work, more rape, dirt, filth, beatings, lice, fleas, more rape, prostitution, and so on were the reality of white women captured by Indians.

Question: Your compassion in writing Rape Hate is very evident. You mention that you yourself were a victim of abuse as a child, and I think that fact really helps the writing in this case. You seem very able to ‘get into the victim’s shoes’, more so than many other authors of True Crime books. Are you interested in the ‘true crime’ genre as a whole? What do you think about how the American justice system handles such monsters like serial killers? They are often allowed to drain millions of taxpayer dollars with appeals and can often drag out their sentence of death for decades. It seems to me to be a huge flaw in the legal system, especially when the person admits they are guilty. I was recently reading about a serial killer in National Socialist Germany named Paul Ogorzow. This monster would actually rape and murder women during air raid blackouts in Berlin. After Ogorzow was arrested, admitting his crimes, it only took the NS justice system thirteen days to examine his insanity claims and execute him by guillotine! In the case of such criminals the authorities would mail a bill to the heirs of the deceased. What are your thoughts?

Tom: My thoughts are your thoughts, Molly, and our thoughts are the thoughts of any healthy race of humans. Aggravated rape should be a capital offense. Rape is the crime that keeps on giving; the victim never recovers. It is much like victims of a home invasion; one replays that vile invasion virtually every hour of their life. And yes, there should be no lengthy ‘appeals’ process. Punishment should be within days of the crime, not decades. Mistakes will be made, of course, and some innocent will suffer, but the victims of these crimes and their families deserve some sympathy too. As far as the manner of punishment, the family of the victim should have a say in that. The current process is a crime in itself, and a slap in the face of every victim and their family.

Question: Are you working on a new book currently? Can you tell us anything about it?

Tom: I have two, perhaps three, books that will come out this year. The working title for all three is Rage & Revenge—Torture & Atrocities in War & Peace, Parts 1, 2, 3. Also, I will write two more scripts for films by Kyle Hunt; one on the Indian wars, and another on the treatment of the defeated Confederacy after the American Civil War. In numerous ways, what the South suffered, 1865-1866, was very similar to what Germany suffered, 1944-1947.

Question: Lastly, thanks so much for your time and thoughts Tom! And thank you so much for giving a voice to all the voiceless victims. Any words to the world?

Tom: To the White World: The time is swiftly approaching in which you must make a choice. On the one side is the rotting, diseased world of the past and the almost certain extinction of the white race; on the other side is the difficult, but necessary, road ahead which ultimately leads to a rebirth of the European spirit. While our parents and grandparents slept, and grew fat and lazy, their worst enemy slipped in and usurped our future. Now, we must fight to reclaim it. This is a fight worthy of the white race and a battle in which surrender is utterly out of the question—Hellstorm has proven that. We either win and ensure the white race will survive to realise its ordained destiny to embrace the stars, or we lose to be laughed at and scorned as a race too weak to survive. Every white man and white woman must decide their course of action.

Tom speaks as a white nationalist, not as a 14-word priest. Note that after the question ‘What authors have influenced you and your work?’ he doesn’t mention post-1945 National Socialist thinkers like Savitri Devi (only when Rockwell was alive and published an issue of National Socialist World Pierce called himself a follower of the Führer). Really? What about Roosevelt, Stalin, Eisenhower and Truman? The above statement is so typical of the white nationalist!

These guys believe that Jews are behind everything. Given that today there is only one priest with an established blog, it is understandable that Tom doesn’t want to be left alone, even in the small environment of white advocates (who almost never link my work). But one need only read his book to realise that the evil came, for the most part, from gentile Americans and the Soviets. Why use the word ‘orchestrated’ referring to Jewry? Jew-wise folk know the nefarious role the Jewish press played in WW2. But the direct perpetrators, the ones who killed the most Germans, were gentiles; and the guys who orchestrated the Hellstorm Holocaust were Roosevelt, Stalin, Eisenhower and Truman.

It seems to me more than obvious that I will have to keep reproducing Savitri’s texts for a new pro-white conception to be born: a conception in which the focus is on the beam in our own eye and not on the straw in someone else’s eye. Just look at the vast majority of whites today: traitors, the worst human scum since prehistoric times (for example, those who are demonstrating tonight in various American cities over the jury verdict on Kyle Rittenhouse).

Neither Tom nor the typical white nationalist seem to grasp the wisdom of Corneliu Zelea Codreanu: If mosquitoes (kikes) have proliferated so much in the West, it’s because of the swamps of our sins that allowed them to proliferate. Writing this reminds me of the day I drove my car with Mexican plates from Houston to New Orleans through Louisiana over a huge number of bridges over swamps: I couldn’t believe the geographical extent of those swamps!

This said I still believe that, in this century, Hellstorm: The Death of Nazi Germany (1944-1947) is the most important book written in English (more about it: here). But I want to say another word about Tom’s interview:

This, of course, is very unfair. If capital punishment is applied for male rape, capital punishment should be also applied to the woman who accuses the innocent man of rape!

Tom is a writer but not an autobiographer like me (cf. my eleven books in which I tell how my parents murdered my adolescent soul: something that keeps on giving to this day). The experience I have with survivors of parental abuse who fail to write autobiographies is that they massively project themselves onto cases outside their own, and want revenge on others; not on one’s own parent. For example, concerning rape, the punishments Tom proposes, which would sometimes blame the innocent, are excessive. Surely the Germans of the Third Reich didn’t see things that way.

In the ninth book of my autobiographical series I talk about my late first cousin, a female victim who was molested as a pubescent by an uncle. Speaking of what I said in my article yesterday, I violated my first guideline with her. It was impossible to talk about elementary human realities, such as the male sex drive. She saw everything in black and white. Sometimes survivors become intolerable. Even in a book we both read, Toxic Parents by Susan Forward, Sue puts incest as ‘the ultimate betrayal’.

For truly profound experts in child and adolescent abuse, that’s untrue. The most damaging abuse to the human soul is that which leads to what psychiatrists diagnose as ‘schizophrenia’ (hearing voices, delusions, salad language, catatonic postures, etc). In Western society ‘schizogenic’ behavior from parents is the ultimate betrayal: the kind of abuse that drives children mad, literally mad, even more serious than the gross forms of neurosis of victims of sexual assault.

Anyone who doesn’t understand the above statement should read Sue Forward’s book, a victim os sexual abuse, which I still highly recommend (although she doesn’t mention schizo clients), and compare it with the cases of ‘schizophrenia’ mentioned by Arieti (to whom I devote a few pages in my Day of Wrath).

If Tom were to write his own autobiography he would come to conclusions that would more closely resemble my own. Writing mine was probably as painful as it was for him to write Hellstorm. You suffer a lot, yes: but eventually you are liberated from neuroses and even psychoses.

That was only the beginning of a long agony which I tell in the following volumes. Tom and I are writers but I don’t think he got to the core of his pain as I have in my books; hence he seeks to take it out on innocents (‘Mistakes will be made, of course, and some innocent will suffer, but…’).

Violating the first guideline

In 2015 I published the first guideline I came up with for a ‘New Aryan code’, which can be summed up in these words ‘Thou shalt only speak to Aryan males’.

Even I, who coined the term fourteen-word priest, fail to comply with the first priesthood guideline.

Ever since my sister got very upset with me when I tried to defend Richard Wagner against the accusations she had been taught at school about Wagner’s attitude to Jews, an argument that ended when my sister not only walked out of the family room but told her teenage son to go with her so as not to listen to me, I had promised myself never to sit with them again.

And I kept it: not even at Christmas did I sit with my family.

But even the priest falters when he lives among little women. Not long ago, still keeping my promise that I wouldn’t sit with her, standing in the kitchen she advised me to go back to school. Since, trying to keep my promise, I didn’t sit at the table, I made the mistake of telling her why that didn’t make sense (can you imagine me in a woke university?).

My sister not only disregarded my arguments, me still standing and her sitting. She escalated her motherly advice to insulting levels. And because I didn’t give an inch to the grotesque advice to go back to college, she was so offended with me that she didn’t speak to me for the next few days!

But the fault was mine. I violated the priest’s first guideline: in profound matters, speak only to Aryan men.

It is easier for a hundred per cent Aryan male, at least genetically, to listen to a priest in private than if we try to do it with one of these little women.

In June this year I published ‘Best Russian film’ about Andrei Rublev. Although the whole film has now been removed from YouTube, it’s worth getting hold of a DVD and watching it at home: an art that is light years ahead of American cinema, and portrays with infinitely more verisimilitude the real world than that of the Hollywood Jews.

It really is worthwhile for the apprentice priest to pause in the torrent of information coming from a media monopolised by Jewry and look into the Russian Middle Ages. Tarkovsky’s film, I said in my June post, has a masterful scene that perfectly portrays the psychology of women. I mean when a Russian girl, after the Tartars destroyed her village and horribly tortured some male villagers (one had liquid metal poured into his mouth with a funnel), still willingly gave herself up to one of the polygamous Tartars!

Not that the Russian girl was a bad woman: her nature is simply to go with the strongest. (That’s why I criticised American Renaissance’s recent conference yesterday, insofar as it only shows that unlike the Nazis those speakers are exactly like Andrei Rublev.) But once one understands the nature of women it becomes obvious that one should never argue with them, although there are great exceptions, such as Savitri Devi.

I write all this because of the email I received today:

Last week I got into a conflagration with my sister that you might have some expertise in:

My sister is a big BLM supporter, who had a BLM sign in her yard for quite some time in 2020. She is also the single mother of two green-eyed, blonde-headed little boys. The fact that the mother of my nephews stumps for a black-supremacist organization is truly galling.

In an angry letter to my cousin, I was ranting something along the lines of: ‘Where does it all lead to? What does she want? For her children to grow up to become the bottom bitches of Mexicans?’

My cousin did not understand my hypothetical, tongue-in-cheek tone, and sent photos of my letter to my sister, who took great offense and is no longer on speaking terms with me.

I sent the below email to her trying to explain the basis of my disdain, and my worry over the long-term prospects of my nephews, but I received no meaningful response in return.

What is occurring in the United States is the institutionalized soul-murder of our children, César! And their mothers are too programmed to stop it.

Among the racialists only Andrew Anglin and Roger Devlin (one of the speakers at the recent AmRen conference) know the nature of women. The problem with the conservative Devlin is that, as a typical American conservative, he is so feminised that he cannot see that only a revolution à la The Turner Diaries could save us. Nor does Anglin speak of revolutionary violence in the future, but at least his anti-feminist humour is so brutal that he comes a little closer to the priest’s guidelines.

National Socialist booklets, 1

In April I ordered several booklets from Third Reich Books, which translates the originals from German into English. When they arrived, I confined myself to quoting a few sentences from the translation of Sieg der Waffen – Sieg des Kindes, plus a critical post about Erich Maschke in the booklet Looking East: Germany Beyond the Vistula. I didn’t want to start a critical series on what I read because it makes me uncomfortable to criticise some Christian aspects of National Socialism. But I have decided to read the rest of the pamphlets and confess what I think, and what better way to do so than to quote here what I wrote on 19 July this year when I read Looking East. It should be noted that the following notes were addressed to me. Four months ago I didn’t think I would publish them:

No sooner do I see the first paragraph of this booklet than a problem arises.

Since I am a 14/4-word priest and not a Nazi, the (probable) fact that this book won’t be anti-Christian (cf. also my central difference with the white nationalists) suddenly came to my mind. This means that the author [Erich Maschke] will probably not be denigrating Christianity on every page, as this is an essay, apparently, about history.

Page 5. It’s worse than what I wrote on the inside front cover! Such is the surprise I received today that it motivates me to a new series for The West’s Darkest Hour that we could start like this—:

—and I would still think this way if I came across this kind of message in the other thirteen booklets I bought and will read (I don’t count Sieg der Waffen, which has no bad messages).

I never expected this. It is becoming clearer and clearer that the priest of the 14 words is not a Nazi, although he still considers Hitler the man whose birth would have to replace that of the mythical Jew that the fools of American racialism still worship.

On page 12 I wrote down [a sign I use when suspending a reading: a down arrow and a perpendicular slash] because he is talking about things that have nothing to do with ‘race’. I would have to order the Open University history books by mail to become better acquainted with German history.

These pamphlets could have been elegantly edited in the 1930s. This edition that translated them is fatal, and they have lost all their numinous content (because the white man who buys them today is spiritually dead).

There is another booklet about which, also in July, I said something on this site. I’m referring to The SS Calls You!:

For example, the final pages of the booklet are about the Insignia Colours of the Waffen-SS. Those in the concentration camps got light brown. Could an American racialist, say one of those libertarians who comment on AmRen, conceive one of his children with light-brown insignia during a project of ethnic cleansing on American soil?

Indeed. We could already imagine someone at the recent annual American Renaissance conference—at which F. Roger Devlin, Peter Brimelow, Michelle Malkin, Jared Taylor, Gregory Hood and Sam Dickson spoke—seeing one of their kids with light-brown insignia!

There is no shortage of opponents of Marxism. They range from those who condemn all violence and are frightened by the known episodes of ‘class struggle’ in Russia and China, to those who reproach the Communists for their atheism and materialism, to those who own some property and are afraid of losing it if they have to live under the sign of the Sickle and Hammer.

Many oppose it in the name of some political doctrine, usually embodied in a ‘party’, which, if it attacks the ‘subversive’ character of Marxism, is itself no less subversive, and for the same deep reasons. This is the case with the adherents of all democratic parties, whose common denominator is to be found in the belief in the ‘equality in law’ of all men, and hence the principle of universal suffrage, of power emanating from the majority. These people don’t realise that Communism is in its infancy in this very principle, as it was already in Christian anthropocentrism (even if it is a question of the value of human souls in the eyes of a personal God who infinitely loves all men). They don’t realise that it is and can only be so, for the reason that the majority will always be the mass—and increasingly so, in an overpopulated world.

Only those who are faithful to any adequate expression of immemorial Tradition, and in particular to any true religion or to any Weltanschauung capable of serving as a basis for a true religion—any worldview which is ultimately based on the knowledge of the eternal and on the will to make it the principle of the socio-political order—, are fundamentally opposed to Marxism.

Now, disregarding the apparent paradox of such an assertion, twenty-five years after the collapse of the Third German Reich I dare to repeat that the only properly Western doctrine which (after the very old Nordic religions which Christianity persecuted and gradually killed between the 6th and 12th centuries) fulfils this condition is Hitlerism.

Note of the Editor: Once more, Savitri didn’t know about the apocalypse of whites that also represented, in the 4th and 5th centuries, the violent destruction of the classical world by fanatic Christians. We cannot blame her. Books like this one had not been published! More recently than Savitri’s time, even Mauricio didn’t know about the blackest page of ancient history, as he commented yesterday.

This is the only Weltanschauung infinitely more than ‘political’ that is clearly ‘against Time’ in accordance with the eternal. It is the only worldview which, in the long run, will triumph both over Marxism and the general chaos to which it will have led the world—and this, no matter how great the material defeat of its followers may have been yesterday, and no matter how hostile millions of men may be about it today. Only a total recovery can succeed a total subversion: a glorious beginning of the cycle at a lamentable end of it.

But our opponents won’t fail to draw everyone’s attention to the eminently ‘anti-traditional’ character of more than one aspect of National Socialism, both during the Kampfzeit, before 1933, and after the seizure of power. If it is ‘subversive’ from the viewpoint of eternal values to preach the ‘class struggle’ with a view to the ‘dictatorship of the proletariat’. But wasn’t it equally subversive to rise to power democratically thanks to universal suffrage, by relying on a succession of electoral campaigns (on the protection of young fighters, for the most part as ‘proletarian’ in their behaviour, as the Communists whose attacks they repelled during meetings and whom they overcame in street battles)? Wasn’t it to be so, to keep this power, which came from the people—the masses—and to omit the reestablishment of the old monarchy despite the last and fervent recommendation of Marshal von Hindenburg, President of the Reich?

On the other hand, didn’t several German banks[1] as well as industrial magnates[2] subsidised the NSDAP, thus making the success of the National Socialist Revolution depend, in part, on the power of money and running the risk of making it considered, despite its popular appearance, the supreme defence of the ‘capitalist’ order as it already existed—that is to say, a society extremely distant from the traditional ideal?

Finally, it may be said, how can it be denied that, even after the seizure of power the Third German Reich was far from presenting the appearance of an organism inspired from top to bottom by the vision of the cosmic hierarchy? The famous author Hans Günther himself, apparently disillusioned, wrote to me in 1970 that he had, unfortunately, seen in it ‘an ochlocracy’ rather than the aristocratic regime he had dreamed of. And one cannot categorically reject without discussion this judgement of one of the most prominent theorists of Hitler’s racism before the disaster of 1945. The judgement, while undoubtedly excessive, must, in more than one particular case, certainly express some regrettable reality.

Let’s never forget that we are approaching the end of a cycle, and that the best institutions can therefore only exceptionally have a semblance of the perfection of the past. For everywhere, and the post-war period has amply proved this, there are more and more two-legged mammals and fewer and fewer men in the strongest sense of the word. No doctrine should therefore be judged by what has been accomplished in the visible world in its name.

The doctrine is true or false depending on whether or not it is in unison with that direct knowledge of the universal and eternal which only a steadily diminishing minority of sages possesses. It is true—it cannot be repeated often enough—regardless of the victory or defeat of its followers, or so-called followers on the material plane, and regardless of their weaknesses, foolishness, or even crimes. Neither the atrocities of the Holy Inquisition, nor the scandals attached to the name of Pope Alexander VI Borgia, take anything away from the truth of the vision of the ‘intelligible world’ that a Master Eckhart, for example, or some initiated Templar, may have had through Christian symbolism. And the same is true of all doctrines.

We must therefore be careful not to impute to Hitlerism the faults, weaknesses or excesses of people with power, to any degree whatsoever, under the Third Reich or during the period of struggle (Kampfzeit) from 1920 to 1933, and especially the faults or excesses committed against the spirit of the Weltanschauung and the Führer’s dream, as there seemed to be so many. In German society, as it was under the growing influence and effective rule of the Führer during the Kampfzeit and afterwards, we must see only the Führer’s efforts to mould it according to his dream, or to prevent it from evolving against that same dream. We must try to understand what he wanted to do.

Already in the official National Socialist texts addressed to the general public—in the Twenty-five Points, which form the basis of the Party programme; and above all in Mein Kampf where the great philosophical directives of the latter are traced out even more clearly—it is visible that the Movement was directed against the most cherished ideals and the most characteristic customs of the eminently decadent society, which had grown out of the Liberalism of the 18th and 19th centuries.

Lending at interest, financial speculation, and any form of gain alien to a creative endeavour, as well as the exploitation of vice or silliness in a press, literature, cinema or theatre envisaged above all as a means of making a profit, are condemned with the utmost rigour. Moreover, the very principles of modern Western civilisation—the equality of all men and all races in law, the idea that ‘law’ is the expression of the will of the majority, and ‘nation’ the community of those who, whatever their origin, ‘want to live together’; the idea that perpetual peace in abundance, the fruit of man’s ‘victory over nature’ represents the supreme good—are attacked, ridiculed and demolished in a masterly manner.

Natural law, the law of the struggle for life, is recognised and exalted on the human level as on all other levels. And the primordial importance of race and personality—the two pillars of the new faith—is proclaimed on every page. Finally, this new faith, or rather this new conception of life (neue Audassung) for the Führer and the few, is not a question of ‘faith’ but true knowledge. It is characterised as ‘corresponding to the original meaning of things’[3] which says a lot, this ‘original meaning of things’ being none other than that which they take on in the light of Tradition.

We can therefore, without going any further, affirm that everything in the history of the National Socialist Party that doesn’t seem to coincide with the spirit of a struggle ‘against Time’ is a matter of the tactics of the struggle, not its nature or purpose. It was under the pressure of hard necessity, and only after he had failed on 9 November 1923 in his attempt to seize power by force that Adolf Hitler, released from his Landsberg prison but now deprived of all means of action, had recourse—reluctantly to be sure—to the slow and long ‘legal way’, that is to say, to the repeated appeal to the voters and the gradual conquest of a majority in the Reichstag. It is well known that his first move after taking power ‘by democratic means’ was to replace the authority of the many with that of one, namely his own at all levels; in other words, to abolish democracy: to bring the political order into line with the natural order as far as possible.

It was under the pressure of a no less compelling material necessity—that of meeting the enormous expenses involved in the struggle for power in a parliamentary system with its inevitable election campaigns—that he had to accept the help of the Hugenbergs, the Kirkdorfs, the Thyssens, Dr Schacht and later Krupp, as well as of a host of industrialists and bankers.

Without it, he couldn’t have risen to power fast enough to block the road to the most dangerous forces of subversion: the Communists. For money is, more than ever, in a world which it increasingly dominates, the ‘sinews of war’ and politics. Does this mean that the Führer was subservient to money or to those who had given him money during the Kampfzeit? Does it mean that he made any concessions to them after taking power?

Far from it! He allowed them to get rich insofar as, in so doing, they served the national economy effectively and gave the working masses what he had promised them: abundance through work insofar as, subject to his authority, they continued to help the Party, i.e. the state, in peace and war. He kept them in their place and their role—like a king and the merchant ‘caste’ in a traditional society—thus showing both his realism and wisdom.

On the other hand, the (at least partial) ‘ochlocracy’ that has so often been attributed to National Socialism was, in fact, only the inevitable corollary of Adolf Hitler’s obligation to come to power by relying, quite democratically, on the majority of the electorate. It wouldn’t have existed if the putsch of 9 November 1923 had succeeded and had given him free rein to remake Germany according to his immense dream. It wouldn’t have existed because he wouldn’t have needed the collaboration of hundreds of thousands of young people ready to do anything: to strike blows as well as to receive them, to maintain in the vicinity of his massive propaganda meetings, and in the halls themselves, an order constantly threatened by the physical attacks of the most violent and implacable elements of the Communist opposition.

To conquer Germany ‘democratically’ he had to show himself, to be heard, hundreds and hundreds of times to convey to the public his message: part of his message, at least that which would induce the masses to vote for his party. The message was irresistible but it had to be communicated. And that would have been impossible without the wolf pack, the SA[4], who ruled the streets and who, at the risk of their own lives, ensured the Führer’s silence and safety amid his audience.

Adolf Hitler loved his young beasts, madly attached to his person, eager for both violence and adoration, many of whom were former Communists who had been won over to the holy cause by the fascination of his words, his looks, his behaviour and his doctrine in which the son of a proletarian saw something more outrageous, more brutal, and therefore more exalting than Marxism.

He loved them. And he loved the latest of their supreme leaders of the Kampfzeit, under whose orders he himself had once fought in the war: Ernst Röhm, who had returned from Bolivia, from the end of the world, at his call in 1930. He willingly turned a blind eye to his deplorable morals and saw in him only the perfect soldier and genius organiser.

And yet… he resigned himself, despite everything, to having this old comrade killed, or to let him be killed—almost the only man in his entourage who was on a first-name basis with him[5]—as soon as he was convinced that the turbulence of this troop, so faithful though it was, its spirit of independence and especially the growing opposition which was emerging between it and the regular German army could only lead precisely to ochlocracy, if not to civil war; in any case, only to the weakening of Germany.

One could compare this tragic but apparently necessary purge of June 30, 1934 with the most Machiavellian settlements of accounts in history; for example, the execution without trial of Don Ramiro di Lorqua on the orders of Caesar Borgia—with this crucial difference, however: that, while the Duke of Valentino had in mind only power for himself, the Führer aimed infinitely higher. He wanted power to try, in a desperate effort, to reverse the march of Time against itself, in the name of eternal values. There was nothing personal in his struggle at any stage.

And if, despite the fervent desire of Field Marshal and Reich President von Hindenburg, he rejected any idea of restoring the monarchy, it was not out of ambition either. It was because he was aware of the vanity of such a step in terms of values and true hierarchies. The monarchy ‘by divine right’, the only normal one from the traditional point of view[6] had, for centuries already, lost all meaning and justification in Europe.

The Führer knew this. It was not a question of trying to restore a shaky order by reinstalling a parliamentary monarchy presided over (there is no other word) by William II or one of his sons. He wanted to build a new order, or rather to resurrect the oldest order: the ‘original’ order in the strongest and most durable form it could take in this century.

And he knew that, by the choice of those forces of life which, throughout any cycle of time, untiringly oppose the ineluctable current of dissolution, he—the eternal Siegfried, both human and more than human—held both the legitimate power in this visible world and the legitimate authority emanating from beyond: the ‘power of the two Keys’. With him at the top, the pyramid of earthly hierarchies was to gradually resume its natural position, once again depicting in miniature, first in Germany, then throughout Europe and the Aryan world: the invisible Order which the Cosmos depicts in large.

It was in the name of this grandiose vision of ideal correspondences that he rejected, with equal vigour, Marxism: a doctrine of total subversion; Parliamentarism in all its forms, always based on the same superstition of quantity; and ochlocracy, a source of disorder, and therefore of constant instability.

But the traditional character of his wisdom is to be sought even more in the few texts that give us his secret, or at least intimate, talks, his open-hearted confidences in front of a few selected people, than in his writings or speeches addressed to the general public.
