Regarding why there are so few like us, now that I’m rereading Them and Us, I couldn’t resist adding footnotes saying that my dad’s abuse (the ultimate pain that a child can endure) mutated my mind as much as it did the pre-humans Vendramini speaks of when they were subjected to literally exterminationist conditions.
I don’t think it’s a coincidence that only the survivors of this soul-murdering abuse have become the NS of the 21st century, which means that, Kalki-like, they have transvalued their values to the tenth and final level.
Do you think it’s worth trying to actively recruit from among ex-psychiatric patients (I say ‘patients’, as generally it’s almost impossible to have gone through this sort of thing and yet remain undiscovered by the System’s ‘doctors’, even if you can get out in time)?
I often think back to my friend Mick when he was still alive (he died prematurely) wondering now if I could have coaxed him more towards my present worldview – he was abused badly by his parents, and indeed other close family members in childhood. I genuinely think, knowing his character that I could have. I think at one point he was very on board actively with the UK phenomenon of ‘Paki bashing’ (early retaliation against rape gangs in the 1970s-80s) but drifted away as he got older (generally, the world had crushed him by later years). There was always a subtle streak of violent racism in him though. It’s a terrible shame I’ll never get to find out. He wasn’t a psychiatric patient per se, but he had been through hell.
Then again, I have another acquaintance – he’s not my friend – labelled in psychiatric Newspeak as a ‘paranoid schizophrenic’ who, in the short year or so I spent in his company, seems about the most vociferous and tiresome leftist one could imagine. he had – quite frankly – an abysmal childhood, as best as I can piece together.
Others, that I’ve bumped into in units, have seemed pretty much normies, not showing any signs that they’re at all switched on in that sense (slightly to the other way in their conformism actually – they had been broken). It’s like their pain had meant nothing to them. I suppose it depends what someone’s actually been through, and how they respond to it; if they ‘click’ at some point. I think my teenage friends had had worse experiences even by that age than pretty much any psychiatric patient (and obviously they’re more than that; I don’t like reducing people to diagnoses) I’ve met since. Quite a lot of them are dead now also though, so it’s impossible to verify.
I suppose part of this reason is that I’m selecting my sample group from patients I’ve met in psychiatric prison, and forgetting that the System shoves almost anyone into them these days, for more and more superficial reasons, a real case of over-diagnosis. It can be hard to work out just how many prolonged parental emotional abuse survivors there are in society (there seem a lot of psych patients) on account of this official mania to tar as many as possible with the mad brush. I generally go by observing symptoms of extreme abuse like psychosis or whatever, just for example, as I’m not always in a position of closeness to them to be able to actually ask what happened.
The best I can think is, very few psychiatric sufferers are suitable for NS, yet all modern (21st Century) NS are a product of this horrendous upbringing. It’s an elite thing in itself. I probably shouldn’t look for too many people in the first place.

P.S. (as far as I recall) there’s a lot of information in the textbook Psychosis, Trauma and Dissociation by Andrew Moskowitz about prolonged traumatic experience literally reshaping the mind. It gets into the brain aspect as well, as to why that would most likely be physically.
I liked reading it. It’s too technical for me to recall without further reference to it though. I can dig it out if you like. It seems Them and Us covers the issue satisfactorily anyway. At least the book I mention would back Vendramini up.
