Iron within, iron without

by Sanguinius

‘External strength is a physical manifestation of our inner strength. We must be polished and hard as steel. Be unyielding in body, mind and spirit’.

This reminds me of the difference between National Socialists and white nationalists. Nietzsche’s Zarathustra said:

‘Why so hard!’—said to the diamond one day the charcoal; ‘are we then not near relatives?’—

Why so soft? O my brethren; thus do I ask you: are ye then not—my brethren?

Why so soft, so submissive and yielding? Why is there so much negation and abnegation in your hearts? Why is there so little fate in your looks?

And if ye will not be fates and inexorable ones, how can ye one day—conquer with me?

And if your hardness will not glance and cut and chip to pieces, how can ye one day—create with me?

For the creators are hard. And blessedness must it seem to you to press your hand upon millenniums as upon wax,—

—Blessedness to write upon the will of millenniums as upon brass,—harder than brass, nobler than brass. Entirely hard is only the noblest.

This new table, O my brethren, put I up over you: Become hard!—

Both the author’s pseudonym “Sanguinius” and the title of this post “Iron Within, Iron Without” are from the science fiction franchise/tabletop war game Warhammer 40,000. Interesting. CT, what are your thoughts on tabletop games like this and perhaps D&D or Varg’s MYFAROG?

Many years ago I played a couple of games online and I haven’t done it again. I sincerely believe that it is toxic, insofar as it dehumanises the Aryan. (Next year I’ll probably enter a chess tournament after 17 years of not playing in FIDE tournaments.)

Have you already read my book on chess (published on this site)?

Yes, I’ve read a couple of pages. And I agree with you: it is absolutely toxic and kills the whole nature of it. However, I don’t always have the opportunity to play face to face with a friend. That’s where the online comes in handy sometimes.

I love Warhammer 40,000. It was my first steps into a fascist, militaristic mindset. Volkish podcast did an episode “In praise of 40k”.

The aesthetics of the Imperium of Man and the lore of the Adeptus Astartes has certainly inspired many young millenials to admire the mentality of an ascetic warrior.

I have yet to read Varg’s MYthical FAntasy ROleplaying Game (MYFAROG). He says it is specifically designed to awaken dormant european spirituality in the player.
