I’m glad it’s got (considerably) more serious/realistic on here recently – subtly but so… if also rather quiet.
That’s no reflection on your excellent long-term body of work, by the way.
I think, in a nutshell, the time for luxury beliefs on Aryan survival as a mere abstract – a kind of interesting academic matter to be debated, where people can have ‘opinions’ – is over.
I’m lucky I live (so far) in a quiet village, surrounded by woods, fields, and shorelines. But death will come, here as elsewhere (if probably not here for quite a while, not for violence reasons at least). Our papers already track the multiple daily atrocities countrywide. I wonder when most people realise we are in this, and it is live time: that this is reality, and that there is no escape.
It can feel almost abstract just recognising the concrete these days. I blame the protective nature of the internet very much for that.
At least events are locked in place now, and just starting to spiral.
