What would be your advice for a 20 year old male who has had a similar experience to you as a teenager and is living with a “mother” who is a psychic energy vampire?
It has been a daily torment.

What do you do when you are a kid against abusive parents? No wonder why some choose to run away, and blessed those who are able to.
You feel this incredibly, suffocating barrier between you and the rest of society. Like living on an isolated island with nobody left to live with but your abusers, and then the feeling of dread stays for years…
That awful sense of dread and hopelessness when you feel stuck with your family and you want, desperately, external intervention? From your neighbor? Someone at school? Anybody! A hero who will come and save you!
You find none, because as you said, society doesn’t care. They don’t have civil courage, and it has been missing for a while now.
As Aleksander Solzhenitsyn, once said that courage is what could change everything.
Had the people in Russia and former soviet countries been courageous enough to not believe the big lies and intervene, they would have saved millions from being dragged into extermination camps.
Same thing could be said for western societies. If only they had the courage to intervene and save those children…
