Maxfield Parrish Poster Book

Or:

The ten books that made an impact in my life
before I became racially conscious
1.- Maxfield Parrish Poster Book
(discovered in 1978)

No need to use many words why this book profoundly affected my life. A picture is worth a thousand words.

Parrish’s paintings made me discover something already existent in my inner soul: the potential divinity of the white race, the world we have to fight for with all our might (what eventually became Dave Lane’s fourteen words: “That the beauty of the white Aryan women shall not perish from the earth.”)

For the other nine books see here.

I just moved the first item of this list (Pinocchio) elsewhere and replaced it for this book I discovered in Mexico City while I still was an adolescent because although I still recommend Pinocchio for Alice Miller readers, unlike Parrish’s poster book Collodi’s tale did not cause a deep impression in my life.

I understand what you mean with the idea of “the potential divinity of the white race” as expressed in certain art forms. Perhaps the art of the Pre-Raphaelites is also a good example, or the art of Alma Tadema. But we can of course also think of classical Greek sculpture.

Absolutely. In this entry I was recounting something that happened long ago, when I had not discovered the art of Alma Tadema or the paintings of the pre-Raphaelites. As to Greek sculpture I completely agree, though being basically hetero I’ve only touched on the subject in my essay “Gitone’s magic”.
