Nietzsche read Dostoevsky’s Crime and Punishment and most likely The Idiot, which inspired him to write ‘The type “Jesus”.’
I found his passive, immediate forgiveness response disturbing to watch (as well as the moment when he flees, like a child to his bedroom). It reminded me a little of those parents in the UK these days who publicly forgive the migrants and jihadist terrorists who rape or murder their daughters, or the raped women who will not countenance their attackers being deported. A feminine response (much as I don’t think most women even would simply let someone slap them). I could never imagine making friends with my enemies (of which I have a few genuinely, not just ‘people I don’t like’). Even Kant suggested, as I seem to recall: if a man makes of himself a worm, he must not complain when he is trodden on (not that Lev Nikolayevich Myshkin is even complaining).
Wow! This is exactly what I was telling in the other thread about the image I saw in San Francisco, the exhibit of Ripley’s Believe it or Not. The etiology of this mental disease is of course Christian ethics.
Dostoevsky inadvertently showed how Christian ethics is self-liquidating. Faithfully applying Christian altruism destroyed Myshkin. But Dostoevsky doesn’t conclude that. What he sees is that the world is too cruel for noble Christian souls. Well he’s right, but not for the reason that he thinks.
I never read ‘The Idiot’ but I did read ‘Crime and Punishment’. There also, Dostoevsky presents us with two false alternatives: 1) reject Christian ethics and be a monster 2) accept Christian ethics and receive forgiveness and salvation.
The West is faithfully trying to apply Christian ethics and in the process it is destroying itself. Christian ethics ultimately means the sacrifice of the Aryan for the African. What an obscenity.
I was just looking at the amount of comments that the recent article about Nick Fuentes received on Counter-Currents. And on my walk today I thought that this was because that webzine reflects the mildly racialised conservatism of American WN, which contrasts dramatically with the NS POV of my site.
Those commenters on C-C are still neochristians in their own way, and the mere handful of real racists of our site prove that very, very few are aware of the ultimate cause of Aryan suicide.
